Though I am running the risk of turning this blog into an analysis of various famous quotes, I will present another good quote
Michael Crichton: "'Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled.'"
Any connection between this quote and the actions of the pro-hitankut crowd in their constant assertions that the majority of Israelis wanted such a giveaway is made at your own risk.

The problem is that they are right. According to last week's poll, 2/3'rds of Israelis are prepared to return parts of East Jerusalem in a peace deal.
Saying people are willing to give up land that Palestinians live on in the context of a Peace Agreement is one thing. (This was the basis of all of Oslo)
It is a big jump from there to say people are willing or want to tear Jews out of their house and get absolutely nothing in return.
The shocker of the poll you quote is that supposedly people are willing to give up on Jerusalem too.
But, I don't really buy the polls. As the famous quote goes: "If we went by polls, Shimon Peres would have been Prime Minister a lot more often."
Awwww... Look at you, all eloquently responding to your commenters!
